ABOUT THE WORKSHOP
The workshops offers unique opportunity to study the ‘Teachings’ intensively around the selected themes. The participants are not rushed through a chain of activities but have a very relaxed daily routine giving them ample time and leisure to be with themselves, to reflect upon their own lives, to go for long walks, to observe nature and to interact with one another. An atmosphere of enquiry and freedom prevails throughout the workshops. The programme will be in English and includes silence session, Krishnamurti's video talks, group dialogues, nature walks and self study periods. Selected passages from the works of J. Krishnamurti will be recommended to the participants for the study purpose. Individuals are welcome to stay for retreat after each workshop. VENUE
The workshop will be conducted at the Naimisam Retreat Centre run by Jiddu Krishnamurti Centre Hyderabad. It is located in Kondapur Village, Ghatkesar, an hour’s journey from Hyderabad. The serene 23-acre campus is surrounded by hillocks and farm lands. ACCOMMODATION Three types of accommodations are available on the campus. 1. Room with single occupancy 2. Room with double occupancy 3. Dormitory type room which will be shared by four or more persons. Each room has its own toilet-bathroom unit (Western style) attached to it. The dormitory type rooms have separate toilet (both Indian and Western style) and bathroom units clustered together. All the rooms are furnished with beds,cupboard, table and chair. Bedding is provided. Hot water for bath is available. Windows of the rooms are fitted with fine wire-mesh to prevent the entry of mosquitoes and other insects. FOOD
Wholesome vegetarian food will be provided for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Morning/Afternoon tea is also served. FACILITIES A bookshop for sale of Krishnamurti’s books and audio/video recordings is available. ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE Participants are expected to reach the Krishnamurti Study Center in Hyderabad on their own before 1:00pm on the day of arrival. From there they will be transported in groups to the Naimisam Retreat Centre. Full address of J.Krishnamurti Study Center in Hyderabad is : 6-3-347/5, Dwarakapuri colony, Panjagutta, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh - 500 082. map On the day of departure, after lunch, participants will be dropped at the Secundarabad or Nampally (Hyderabad) railway station or the Krishnamurti City Center or a place from where they can get buses/taxis for the airport. Exact transport arrangement will be informed to the registered participants. Arrive : Wednesday - July 6. 2011 Depart: Sunday - July 10. 2011 -- Extra stay is possible after each workshop and will be charged separately. Individual transport up to and from Naimisam Retreat Centre to any place in Hyderabad city can be arranged and will be charged separately. You can also reach Naimisam Retreat Centre on your own. REGISTRATION Participation is limited to 40–50 members on the first come first served basis. The Registration fee per person for the July workshop is: 1. Rs. 3,000 for the room with single occupancy 2. Rs. 2,500 for the room with double occupancy 3. Rs. 2,000 for the Dormitory The registration fee includes lodging, boarding, stationery and one pickup (in a group) and drop-off between the Naimisam Retreat Center and the Hyderabad City Center. After registration, the fee will be non-refundable and can be transferred to another person only once. 1.
